Coaching (also known as guiding) can be the ultimate tool in your toolbox!

Through implementing the Positive Impact ‘P.A.C.E.R. method’ you will partner with your coach to define and reach your goals. Facing up to key challenges and implementing learnings to create tangible action plans.

Coaching is an excellent accountability tool to ensure that your identified goals and habits are kept in focus every step of the way. Your coach will be your sounding board, your safe and objective person with whom to speak, your brainstorming partner, your motivator, and your partner in celebration as you begin to create your positive impact.

Weaving mindfulness principles and teachings into coaching sessions will support you on your journey. Clients are not required to have a regular mindfulness practice but are expected to approach coaching sessions with an open mind and a willingness to learn.

We work with committed, driven individuals and groups with a desire to create a better future.

What coaching is NOT

Coaching is not therapy, counselling or psychology. Coaching is focused on your strengths not weakness and the future not the past. It is a commitment to forward thinking and forward actions and should not be mistaken for therapeutic intervention.

FAQs

A personal development coach is a professional who helps you identify your goals, overcome obstacles, and make changes or decisions in your personal and professional life. They utilise strategies, structures, and techniques to facilitate your self-improvement, enhance your performance, and assist in achieving a higher level of satisfaction in life.

While both coaches and therapists help you make positive changes, their methods and focuses are different. Therapy or counselling often deals with healing pain, dysfunction, and conflict from the past. In contrast, personal development coaching is more focused on the present and future. It is aimed at personal and professional growth, and it is not meant to treat mental health issues.

If you’re feeling stuck or unsatisfied in one or more areas of your life, or if you have goals but aren’t sure how to achieve them, a personal development coach could be a good fit. A coach can help you define your goals, identify barriers and limiting beliefs, and devise action plans. You should feel comfortable and connected with your coach and trust their expertise.

Look for a coach with relevant qualifications and experience. A good coach should have a solid coaching process, be an excellent listener, and have a genuine interest in helping you grow. They should be someone you can trust, respect, and with whom you feel comfortable discussing personal issues. It can also be beneficial if they have experience in the area you’re looking to develop.

The duration of a coaching relationship can vary widely. It often depends on your individual goals and how quickly you are able to make progress toward them. Many coaches suggest a minimum commitment of three to six months, but it could be shorter or longer. The frequency and duration of sessions can also vary.

The cost of personal development coaching can vary greatly depending on factors such as the coach’s experience, qualifications, and the length and frequency of sessions. Positive Impact coaches offer packages that provide a series of sessions. Take a look at our coaches page for more information.

Successful personal development coaching requires a significant commitment from you. This includes not only the time spent in coaching sessions but also time spent on tasks or homework set by your coach between sessions. Personal development is a process that requires work and patience, but commitment can lead to meaningful and lasting change.
